Managing subscriptions
Switch plans, change how you're billed, or cancel — all from Settings → Subscription. When a change costs you nothing extra it applies right away; when it would cost you prepaid credits, it waits for your next billing date instead.
Where to manage it#
Open Settings → Subscription. You'll see your plan grid, a monthly / yearly toggle, and your current plan marked Your plan. The header shows your balance and your next date — Renews and refills on an active plan, or Cancelling on once a cancellation is scheduled. Pick a plan and cadence, and a dialog explains exactly what will happen before anything is charged.
Upgrades apply immediately#
Moving to a plan with more credits — or switching your current plan from monthly to yearly — takes effect right away. You're charged for the new plan now, your billing cycle resets to today, and any unused credits from your current cycle carry over on top of the new plan's full monthly allowance.
Downgrades wait for your billing date#
Moving to a plan with fewer credits — or switching from yearly to monthly billing — is scheduled for your next billing date. Nothing is charged now, and you keep your current plan and its credits until then. This is deliberate: it means a downgrade never throws away credits you've already paid for. The plan you're switching to shows as Scheduled in the grid until the date arrives.
Cancelling#
Use Cancel subscription on your current plan. Like a downgrade, it takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your plan and credits until then, and afterward you drop to Pay-as-you-go. Your balance and any extra credits stay with you; only the monthly allowance stops.
Undoing a scheduled change#
A scheduled downgrade or cancellation isn't final until the date lands. To call it off, just re-pick your current plan and cadence — the button reads Keep your plan or Resume subscription — and the scheduled change clears.
Starting a paid plan#
The first time you move from Pay-as-you-go to a paid plan, there's no card on file yet, so we hand off to a secure Stripe checkout page in your browser to collect it. After that, plan changes happen in the app — no checkout needed. Managing the card itself lives on the Billing & invoices page.
