Ownership & licensing

Our Terms and Conditions are the legal agreement. If this page and the Terms say different things, the Terms apply. Here is the short version.

What you create is yours#

Friends & Robots does not claim ownership of the content you create in the app. You can use it for personal or commercial work, online or offline, except for the licensed media described below.

We give you ownership of what you create, but the law decides whether copyright protects it. The rules vary by country, and something made entirely by AI may not qualify. Work you do yourself — such as writing, editing, choosing, arranging, or combining material — may still be protected.

Only use material you are allowed to use#

This applies to every image, video, audio file, or other reference you bring into the app. You do not have to own it, but you need permission that covers what you want to do with it — including changing it and using the result commercially.

Making something new from material you cannot use does not fix the problem. We can give you rights to the new content, but we cannot give you rights to someone else's original work. You are also responsible for getting any permission needed to use people, voices, brands, or private property shown or heard in your material.

Storyblocks media#

Storyblocks photos, footage, music, and sound effects remain owned by their rights holders. The licence lets you include them in finished commercial work, online or offline.

Television and cinema need extra broadcast rights. If you need these rights, contact us.

ElevenLabs Music#

Music made with ElevenLabs Music cannot be used in film, television, radio, or multi-platform commercial games. If you need these rights, contact us.

Other online and offline commercial uses are allowed. This includes YouTube videos, social media, online ads, and ordinary web content.
